A native Californian, Trice Newman joins a long line of family and friends who moved to Texas to attend Lubbock Christian University (LCU) and decided to stay for good.
Trice joined PFG Advisors in January of 2019 as an associate. A passion for finance is something he discovered within himself while he was originally on the path to a career in law. That led to working in a bank. Eventually, he rose to a position as a loan officer, which in turn led to a supporting role at a boutique private equity firm, and unleashed in Trice a desire to use his knack for analytics to help people with their financial decision-making.
What Trice enjoys most about his work at PFG Advisors is the opportunity to offer new ideas and solutions. “I appreciate using creative problem solving to help address topics that clients may not have been able to move forward on – up to now,” he says. In the process of coming up with solutions, Trice also gets to make a difference in people’s lives.
Trice is a member of the Lubbock Economic Council and Gideons international. He and his wife, Makinsey, reside in Lubbock, where they have been members of Connect Church since 2016. Together, they enjoy spending quality time with close friends and family, hanging out with their two dogs, as well as hiking and traveling whenever they can.
